WEB DEVELOPER: Shopify Project-Based (Chicago Preferred)

We’re seeking a Shopify Web Developer with strong skills in Java, HTML, CSS, and Shopify Liquid for project-based work.
You’ll be paid per project, with optional performance bonuses based on measurable success.

Job Title: Web Developer Subcontractor

Job Type: Contract/Project-Based

Location: Must be U.S.-based, preferably in the Chicago suburbs.

Duties to Include But Not Limited To:

  • Upload and manage product inventory and collections.
  • Implement site updates, theme customizations, and page optimizations.
  • Apply custom code using Java, HTML, CSS, and Shopify Liquid.
  • Ensure responsive, mobile-friendly, and high-performance design standards.
  • Assist with basic SEO optimization and Shopify app integrations.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and propose strategic improvements as needed.

The Bare Necessities:

  • Proven experience developing and managing Shopify websites.
  • Strong skills in Java, HTML, CSS, Shopify Liquid.
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing inventory uploads and site updates.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively.
  • Availability for periodic, flexible project assignments as the brand evolves.

    • Preferred Skills (Bonus Points):

  • Experience with Shopify apps like PageFly, ReConvert, Klaviyo, and Shopify Forms.
  • Familiarity with CRO (conversion rate optimization) strategies.
  • Ability to interpret analytics and provide data-driven recommendations.
